Flashback Friday again!

Happy Anniversary to my wonderful parents! Today is their 51st Anniversary.


Mom-back in the 50's. What a wonderful time to grow up in. If I could chose any decade to have grown up in, it would have to be the 50's. I love the clothes-the hoop skirts with bobby socks and saddle oxfords!


I don't know much about cars, but I do know that the 50's had GREAT cars! Here is my dad standing by his car.


Of course there's the music of the 50's! Elvis Presley! You can't get any better than the king of rock and roll.

Flashback Friday

This if my first "Flashback Friday" posting so I thought I'd go wayyyyyyy back to when I was about 2 years old. Well, it's not THAT far back but anyway! haha Here I am talking on my phone, one of several that I had. I had one of those annoying (to parents anyway) pull along ones with the wiggly eyes and that cute little jingle it made when pulled for hours and hours through the house! I VOWED that my own kids would never NEVER have one of those. I almost won that battle but one of my kids received one as a gift at Christmas. I knew my mother would be thrilled. When we got home that night I called her and said to just listen...she did and she immediately knew the dreaded phone was in our house!
The telephone has always been a big part of my life, even from an early age. It still is today too and I'm amazed at how far technology has come in recent years. Who would have thought we could carry phones around in our pockets? I'm still very connected to my phone and it seems now that phones can do almost everything but the laundry!! Won't it be wonderful when technology gets that one down!! Wow! I can hardly wait!

Isn't this one of the cutest faces you've ever seen?? This is our newest cat, Oreo and he is a sweetheart of a cat!

Hello Blogging World!

Ok, after much coercing,arm twisting and nagging, I have decided to join the blogging world. I do enjoy reading other people blogs so maybe some of them will enjoy mine also. My kids accuse me of 'blog stalking' but I see it as just being interested in my fellow man/woman/child! Check back often because you never know what will pop up on my blog!
