Thursday Thoughts...

This is what I'm thinking about on this nice Thursday morning in Oklahoma.

This is so true! I see this so often with children.  Children always want the latest new toy and our marketing people know just how to appeal to kids with their product.
Lots of adults are selfish and greedy too.  It seems like we live in a society where what we have is NEVER enough.  I'm all for striving to do better and improving our lives, but when it always takes buying the next new 'toy' to make us happy, and temporarily happy I might add, then something is wrong in our lives.

Is there anyone that can actually get home with EVERY french fry??
I know I can't!  Usually when I get home, there might be 4-5 left in the sack.  They're just too good to resist!

Boy, I need this posted on my front door right now.
Allan has been working such long hours that our yard needs mowing so badly!  Weeds have definitely taken over.

Sometimes it IS up to you to bring your own sunshine.  We can't always rely on  others to make us happy and we really shouldn't be doing that anyway.
Happiness comes from within and a happy person is way more fun to be around than one down in the dumps all the time.  So, be that person that is joyful and one that everyone benefits from spending time with.

My closet is absolutely FULL of these little critters!
A precious lady from church that has since passed away used to say that something caused her clothes to 'draw up' when they're just hanging in her closet.   She had no idea what caused this!  Now, I know.

Oh my!  How many times as a kid did me and a friend lay on our backs in the grass and watch the clouds?
We always hunted for shapes and things up in the clouds. If there was a spot where the sun was shining though in a particular way, we always thought that was heaven and God was looking down on us.  Great memories!

Laughter really is the best medicine!
Sometimes you really do just have to stop and laugh.  And, you know, crying does give me a headache!

I have to admit, this fits me perfectly some days.
I don't usually plan to not accomplish something, it just kinda sneaks up on me and all of a sudden, the day is over and it's time to go back to bed.

And finally...
I just love this scripture and since it says it all, I'm going to end with ...think about such things.  Philippians 4:8
